Cognitive Phenomenology

Cognitive Phenomenology

… can be defined as the experience that is associated with cognitive activities, such as thinking, reasoning, and understanding.

With this series of paintings the artist address in visual language the philosophical implications of consciousness using the contemporary urban landscape of reflective surfaces as a metaphor to illustrate consciousness and the personal, intentional self-knowledge, juxtaposed to a precieved awareness of the external world. These musings are contrasted with the fractured attention our digital connections create.
